"Dino-Mite" Dinosaur Cut Out Cookies 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar 1 large egg 2 squares(1 ounce each) semi-sweet chocolate, melted 1/2 tsp vanilla 2 1/3 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup white frosting Assorted food colorings 1 cup assorted color mini baking bits In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, chocolate, and vanilla. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture. Wrap and refrigerate dough for 2 to 3 hours. Preheat oven to 350 F. Working with half the dough at a time on a lightly floured surface, roll to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into dinosaur shapes using 4 inch cookie cutters. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool for two minutes on cookie sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Tint the frosting to desired colors. Frost the cookies and then decorated with the assorted color mini baking bits.
