Carnival of the Recipes #63 is up and running at Everything And Nothing Carnival of the Recipes The topic is Tricks, Treats & Eats "...some dishes are just a tad more complicated than others. It may not always be that they are complicated in the kitchen per se - maybe they have a secret ingredient that's hard to guess or they offer a unique twist on an old dish. Whatever the case, the tricky part makes the treat part even better" Everything And Nothing http://www.typepad.com/t/trackback/3475628

Top Ten Design Mistakes Weblog Usability: The Top Ten Design Mistakes (Jakob Nielsen's Alertbox) 10. Having a Domain Name Owned by a Weblog Service Having a weblog address ending in blogspot.com, typepad.com, etc. will soon be the equivalent of having an @aol.com email address or a Geocities website: the mark of a naïve beginner who shouldn't be taken too seriously. Letting somebody else own your name means that they own your destiny on the Internet. They can degrade the service quality as much as they want. They can increase the price as much as they want. They can add atop your content as many pop-ups, blinking banners, or other user-repelling advertising techniques as they want. They can promote your competitor's offers on your pages. Yes, you can walk, but at the cost of your loyal readers, links you've attracted from other sites, and your search engine ranking. The longer you stay at someone else's domain name, the higher the cost of going independent. Yes, it's tempting to start a new weblog on one of the services that offer free accounts. It's easy, it's quick, and it's obviously cheap. But it only costs $8 per year to get your personal domain name and own your own future. As soon as you realize you're serious about blogging, move it away from a domain name that's controlled by somebody else. The longer you delay, the more pain you'll feel when you finally make the move. Funny Quotes Love Quotes Life Quotes Famous Quotes Christmas Quotes Weblog Usability: The Top Ten Design Mistakes

With gourmet cookies costing up to $12 a dozen, everyone’s
trying to find ways to make those cravings less costly.

You can whip up fresh home baked cookies — with a gourmet taste—
for a fraction of the price with cookie pouches.

They come in many varieties like chocolate peanut butter chip
and retail for around $2.20 for a pouch that can make three dozen cookies.

That comes out to about 10 cents a cookie.

Cookie pouches also allow cookies to be made in about 30 minutes –
and they’re so easy to make, even your kids can help.

A variety of cookies can make school lunches interesting
and you can even store them in the freezer to be eaten later.
