Spaghetti Sauce
2C chopped onions
2C chopped green peppers
1C chopped Celery
4 cloves garlic, minced
2T oil
2 lbs ground beef
3 8-oz cans tomato sauce
3 6-oz cans tomato paste
1 can whole tomatoes, chopped
2 bay leaves
2t oregano
1t basil
1t salt
1/4t pepper
Saute onion, green pepper, celery and garlic in oil until onion is tender. Add
ground beef; cook until browned. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients;
simmer 1 hr. Remove bay leaves. Pour into can or freeze in jars of plastic
freezer boxes. Seal; lavel; and freeze. Yield about 6 pints
