Christmas Recipes - CHRISTMAS EGGNOG ICE CREAM
4 C. milk
8 eggs, beaten
2 1/4 C. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 C. whipping cream
10 T. brandy
2 T. vanilla extract
3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Warm milk; add eggs, sugar and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until
temperature reaches 155?F or until mixture coats the back of a spoon.
Do not overcook. Remove from heat and add cream. Stir occasionally
while mixture cools.
In separate bowl combine brandy, vanilla extract, nutmeg and
cinnamon. Beat flavorings into cooled custard mixture. Freeze in ice
cream freezer. Pack to let ice cream set up. Makes 1 gallon.
Dessert Recipes - Ice Cream Sandwich Dessert
19 ice cream sandwiches
12 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed
11 3/4 ounce jar hot fudge topping
1 cup salted peanuts
Cut one ice cream sandwich in half. Place one whole and one half
sandwich along a short side of an ungreased 13″x9″ pan. Arrange eight
sandwiches in opposite directions in the pan. Spread with half of the
whipped topping. Spoon fudge topping by teaspoonsfuls onto whipped
topping. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup peanuts.
Repeat layers with remaining ice cream sandwiches, whipped topping and
peanuts (pan will be full). Cover and freeze for up to 2 months. Remove
from the freezer 20 minutes before serving. Cut into squares.
Dessert Recipes - TUTTI FRUTTI ICE CREAM
1 Egg
1 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 small can crushed pineapple
1/2 c. maraschino cherries
1 large banana
2 T. lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
1 c. cream
Pour scalded milk over beaten egg. Whip cream and sugar. Pour lemon
juice over mashed banana. Add finely cut cherries, pineapple and
salt. Combine all mixtures and freeze in the refrigerator.
Ice cream in a baggie
This is an easy and fun way to make ice cream. Be sure
to round up some friends to help shake the baggies and
share the delicious frozen treat!
Measure 1 cup of milk (whole or 2% works best) or
cream and carefully pour into sandwich size zippered
plastic bag.
Add 1 ½ tablespoons of sugar and ½ teaspoon of vanilla
to milk in plastic bag. Make sure bag is tightly sealed!
Place 5 cups of ice cubes into gallon size zippered
plastic bag.
Add ¼ cup of table salt to ice in plastic bag.
Place sealed bag of milk mixture in bag of ice and
tightly seal ice bag.
Gently shake ice bag for about three to five minutes.
Remove ice cream bag from ice bag, wiping off salt
from outside of bag.
Enjoy vanilla ice cream right from the bag or spoon
into bowls or cones.
Bag can be placed in freezer for several hours if
harder ice cream is desired.

Make chocolate ice cream by adding chocolate syrup
or using chocolate milk!
· Chocolate ice cream quickly becomes Rocky Road by
adding marshmallows and nuts.
· All different kinds of fruit flavors of ice cream
can be made by adding fresh, frozen or canned fruit.
Try strawberry, peach, banana or a wild new
combination - RazzleBlueBerryBanana Swirl!
· Bits of your favorite cookies or candy can be
stirred into your ice cream to concoct your own
favorite flavor!
· If mom or dad would like mocha ice cream, dissolve
some instant coffee in the milk before shaking.
