CORNBREAD
1 cup of cornmeal mix
1/8 cup of oil
Salt to taste
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups of cream style corn
1 cup of black-eyed peas, drained
1/2 cup of grated cheese
3 slices of crisp bacon, crumbled up
3/4 cup of buttermilk
1 egg
2 tablespoons of flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 cup of hot peppers (or less as you prefer)
Mix and bake at 375 degrees in a greased shallow pan for 30
minutes or until golden brown.
