cheesecake recipe – Creamsicle cheese cake
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 c splenda/or white sugar
2 lg eggs
3/4 c sour cream
1 t vanilla
1/2 t orange extract
1/2 t orange koolaid powder, sugar free
1/2 t water
Preheat oven to 350 deg. F. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and
splenda/sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, beat well. Add the sour
cream and vanilla, mix well. Place 3/4 c of the mixture in a small bowl. Mix
together the koolaid powder, orange extract & water, stir well then add to the
3/4 c of cream cheese mixture.
Pour the remaining cream cheese mixture into the prepared pan or pie crust
(chocolate would be good). Drop the orange mixture by spoonfulls onto the
creamcheese and swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect. Bake for 30-35
min. or until firm around the edges. (The center will be slightly loose.)
Allow to cool for 1 hr then cover and chill for at least 8 hrs before
serving. Nutritional counts without a crust and splenda {10 servings} 3.3
carbs per slice and 5 grams protein. {12 servings} 2.7 carbs per slice & 4.2
gr protein. If desired pour into a crust of your choice but add the extra
carbs.
