Crockpot Italian Style Pork Chops
6 thick pork chops, trim off fat 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms,sliced 1 medium onion,chopped 1 clove garlic,minced 2 8-ounce cans tomato sauce 1/4 cup red wine ( you may use water) Salt and Pepper to taste 1 Tablespoon dried parsley 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 2 sweet red peppers,sliced Trim excess fat from pork chops.Brown chops in hot Olive Oil and Drain. Place mushrooms,onion and garlic in bottom of Crock Pot.Arrange pork chops on top of vegetables. Combine tomato sauce, wine and spices.Pour over chops.Cover;cook on Low 7 to 9 hours.About 1 hour before serving place pepper slices on top of pork chops.
